The Rotarian’s commitment to “service above self” extends farther than the concept of a willing and helping hand. Rotarians also are committed to helping others help themselves in our community and around the globe. The Cashiers Rotary Club Charities 501c3 does just that by administering the funds raised by the Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley in accordance with the philosophy of Rotary itself. Each distribution of funds is carefully considered with respect to the organization’s mission, it’s project, the benefit to our community and the organization’s long term funding goals. Because our community is small, we also have stringent procedures regarding conflicts of interest.

This year, due to the serious impact of the economic recession and loss of jobs in our community, the Cashiers Rotary Club Charities gave special attention to the critical needs of food and health care. Ongoing, our club is committed to the long term higher education of our local students through our scholarship program. This program ensures scholarship assistance to qualifying students over a 4 year period of higher education and is open to high school graduates in the greater Cashiers community.

Your support of the events sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley is the primary source of funds for the Cashiers Rotary Club Charities. Private contributions are also welcomed and can be restricted for donation to specific programs the Cashiers Rotary Club Charities is supporting.
