Artisan Registration

Dear Returning & Prospective Artisans,

Thank you for your past participation and interest in Art for a Cause, the semi-annual arts & crafts shows presented by the Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley.

Registration is now open. The process is the same as last year. Please take note of the important dates and deadlines shown here.

NEW THIS YEAR:

• Booth Preferences & Assignments: The booth layout will be distributed along with your acceptance notification. We will ask for your booth preferences at that time. As always, past participants will receive priority, and will we will make every effort to give you your first choice.

Terms & Conditions: We have updated our Terms & Conditions for this year. Please be sure to read them in full before agreeing to them during the registration process.


Schedule of Application Deadlines & Notifications of Acceptance

Artisans interested in having a booth at Art for a Cause, the twice-annual Cashiers Rotary Arts & Crafts Fairs must register online by the deadline for each show. 

JANUARY 27, 2019:

Registration Opens for Both Shows

APRIL 1, 2019:

Registration Closes for Spring Show

(Applications received after these deadlines will be subject to a $25 late registration fee.)

APRIL 15, 2019:

Acceptance Notifications Sent for Spring Show

(Booth preferences will be solicited at this time; not as part of the registration process as done in years past.)

MAY 1, 2019:

Booth Assignments & Set-Up Info for Spring Show Sent

JULY 1, 2019:

Registration Closes for Fall Show

Terms & Conditions:

Please read the following information carefully prior to registering.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: The registration process is online only. You will be notified of your acceptance via email. If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from communicating online, you must contact us no later than February 28, 2019 to make other arrangements. YOUR WORK: This is a juried show. 80% of the work shown must be the work of the artisan named on the submitted application. No buy-sell vendors will be accepted. Any buy-sell vendors that show up to the shows will be asked to leave and will not be entitled to a refund.

Pictures: You must submit pictures that accurately represent your current work, preferably taken within the last year. Applications submitted without photos will not be accepted.

BOOTH INFO & PREFERENCE(S):

All booths are 10’ x 10’. You must provide your own white tent, display racks, tables, stakes, etc. The Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley will determine layout of the show. Returning artisans will receive first priority in booth preference and assignment. All others will be fulfilled based first on date of registration and then upon availability.

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION: The following terms & conditions apply to participation in Cashiers Rotary Arts & Crafts Shows:

Schedules & Timing: The Cashiers Rotary Arts & Crafts shows take place on the Saturday and Sunday of both Memorial Day (Spring) and Labor Day (Fall) weekends from 10am to 5pm both days, with setup times on Friday. This event is rain or shine. By registering, artisans commit to participating for the entirety of the show.

Application Fees: Fees are not refundable unless the event is canceled by the Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley prior to the start to the event or if you are not accepted for participation in the show. The Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley cannot be held liable if any portion of events must be canceled due to an act of God or other circumstance beyond its immediate control.

Participation is at Our Discretion: The Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley reserves the right to reject, deny or terminate any artisan’s participation at any point, including after an event has commenced, if they or their assisting staff are found to be in engaged in any of the following prohibited activities: excessive drinking and/or public drunkenness; discrimination, harassment and/or violence towards any person(s); and any activity defined as illegal by Jackson County, the state of North Carolina, or the federal government of the United States.

Liability: The Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley (producer) and The Village Green (venue) are to be held free and harmless from any claims and/or liability relating to any injury, damages or theft caused by persons or property while said premises are occupied under this agreement. This includes damage, injury or loss of any type from the time of arrival and set-up through the breakdown and removal of exhibits.
