Winter Coat Drive

CashiersRotary WinterCoatDriveGive a gift of warmth to someone this winter. As temperatures drop and the need becomes even greater, you can help a person in need by donating new or gently used coats to our winter coat drive.

The recent arctic weather has put intense focus on the need for protecting those less fortunate. For many, the need is as simple as a warm coat to help combat the frigid temperatures. We need your help to do that, now more than ever.

The annual Winter Coat Drive, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley in partnership with Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry and the Community Care Clinic in Highlands, needs more coats. Any extra or gently worn coats and jackets will make a huge difference to somebody in our community and will be greatly appreciated.

Coats and jackets may be dropped off at the following locations in Cashiers and Sapphire: Ingles, Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry, JJ’s BP Station, Cashiers Methodist Church, Bucks Coffee, Sapphire Valley Community Center, Church of the Good Shepard Episcopal Church, Wendy's and Albert-Carlton Community Library.

Coats may be picked up at the Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry in Cashiers, open Mondays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30.

The coat drive will continue throughout the winter. Please consider donating any coats that are no longer needed or worn at one of the drop off locations and make somebody’s winter a little easier.
