Hurricane Helene Efforts Continue Into the New Year

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, Cashiers Rotary assisted in relief efforts in the immediate aftermath, helping to prepare and serve meals to emergency workers and those affected in the community.
Since then, the club has teamed up with Cashiers United Methodist Church to raise funds for supplies and assemble 60 flood cleaning bucket kits and 150 personal hygiene kits. In December, Rotarians delivered the buckets and hygiene kits to the Barnardsville, NC area to be distributed to dislocated families in that area.
We'll continue our efforts into 2025, as well. Next steps will be to complete another 50 flood cleaning buckets and 150-200 yygiene kits for future use. We will also be preparing and distributing feminine hygiene kits, as well.
We'd greatly welcome anyone from the community who'd like to help. If you'd like to contribute, either monetarily or with your time, please send us an email to
